NCH Says Homeopaths Cannot Practise Other Medical Systems
The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) has issued a clarification on the practice of other systems of medicine by homoeopathic practitioners.
The NCH reiterated that practising any system of medicine other than homoeopathy constitutes professional or ethical misconduct under Regulation 36(y) of the NCH (Professional Conduct, Etiquette and Code of Ethics) Regulations, 2022.
However, the regulation permits homoeopathic practitioners to participate in National Health Programmes or other government health programmes, provided they have completed training or a course recognised or prescribed by the competent authority.
The Commission also referred to the BHMS Regulations, 2022, which provide for the participation of homoeopathic graduates in National Health Programmes implemented by State Governments.
The NCH said the clarification was issued to ensure that the relevant provisions are understood and interpreted in their proper context.
