AIAPGET 2026: Internship Deadline Now October 31
In a significant relief for aspirants preparing for the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the mandatory Compulsory Rotatory Internship (CRI) completion cut-off date from 31 August 2026 to 31 October 2026. The decision follows representations received from candidates seeking additional time to complete their internship requirements.
According to the public notice, the revised eligibility applies to candidates seeking admission to postgraduate courses in Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy. The extension has been made in consultation with the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) and the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH).
The NTA clarified that all other provisions of AIAPGET 2026, including eligibility criteria, examination schedule, and instructions contained in the Information Bulletin and the Public Notice issued on 10 July 2026, remain unchanged. Candidates are advised to complete the online application process before the prescribed deadline and regularly check the official AIAPGET portal for further updates.
The extension is expected to benefit a large number of final-year AYUSH interns whose internship completion was scheduled beyond the earlier cut-off date, enabling them to become eligible for AIAPGET 2026 without missing the current admission cycle.
